As part of this year's Charity Week, a week designated by Islamic Relief where Muslim Student Associations across the nation compete to raise the most amount of money for charity, the MSA at Pitt will be hosting a halaqa with Ammar Alshukry as a guest speaker! He is a renowned Imam, author, and poet from New York. His most recent literary work is "What the Pen Wrote: The Collected Poems of Ammar AlShukry." He is also the director of Al Maghrib Islamic Institute, where he teaches Islamic courses regarding development, principles, and history. |
