Kamran Bokhari, New Lines Institute will present “Eurasia in an Age of Strategic Churn.” His talk will explore the evolving "arc of crisis" across southern Eurasia, examining how ongoing domestic and regional conflicts have led to escalating instability in many states within this strategic region. Bokhari will explore how these dynamics may continue to shape the geopolitical landscape in the coming years.
Hasina Jalal will discuss her paper, “Resilience and Resistance: Afghan Women’s Fight Against the Taliban and the Role of Global Economic Sanctions.” The research analyzes the ways women-led Afghan social movements resist Taliban control. Drawing on interviews with activists, former professionals, and artists, Jalal’s research sheds light on the unique challenges Afghan women face and their resilience amid intersecting crises.
December 2 at 10:30 am ET, Dr. Tareq Abu Hamed, Executive Director, Arava Institute of Environmental Studies, will join GSPIA Professor Jennifer Murtazashvili for a dialogue, “Environmental Diplomacy During Crises: A View from Israel and Palestine.”
