Hasina Jalal will discuss her paper, “Resilience and Resistance: Afghan Women’s Fight Against the Taliban and the Role of Global Economic Sanctions.” The research analyzes the ways women-led Afghan social movements resist Taliban control. Drawing on interviews with activists, former professionals, and artists, Jalal’s research sheds light on the unique challenges Afghan women face and their resilience amid intersecting crises.
