Imprisoning a Generation

The film tells the stories of four Palestinian children who had been detained and imprisoned under the Israeli military and political system.
There will be an organized discussion following the film to support H.R. 2407, the Promoting Human Rights for Palestinian Children Living Under Israeli Military Occupation Act.
According to the US Campaign for Palestinian Rights (USCPR), H.R. 2407 is needed to ensure that US taxpayer money is not used by Israel to commit human rights abuses against Palestinian children living under Israeli military occupation. It amends an existing human rights law known as the “Leahy Law” to specifically prohibit US funds from being used for the “military detention, interrogation, abuse, or ill-treatment” of children. Additionally, it authorizes the appropriation of funds to monitor human rights abuses and to provide physical, psychological, and emotional rehabilitation to Palestinian children who have been victims of Israel’s military detention system.
