Register for Ebru classes at the TCCP

Origin:
Ebru is a traditional form of art practiced in Turkey. It is formed by using dye to draw designs on top of water, and then absorbing the dye by carefully placing paper on the surface of the water. The earliest examples of Ebru are found in the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul, and are dated to 1539. It is believed to have even earlier historical roots in East Asia dating to the 10th century.
