Moses, Jesus and Mohammed

Dr. Tim Crain, Director of National Catholic Center for Holocaust Education at Seton Hill lecturing on Moses, Jesus and Mohammed
Moses, Jesus, and Mohammed had a significant impact on the history of monotheism. Moses had a tremendous influence not only on Judaism, but also Christianity and Islam. Jesus of Nazareth was greatly affected by his Jewish life and he set the foundation for a religion that was strikingly similar to Judaism. Moses and Jesus had a remarkable impact on Mohammed, and all three historical figures are featured prominently in the Quran. That which binds these three figures together, as well as their respective religions, are far more significant than the divisions.
Tim Crain received his BA and MA from Marquette University where he triple majored in philosophy, history, and political science. After completing his Master's degree in history, he began his doctoral studies at Arizona State University. He finished his PhD in modern Jewish history at ASU.
Dr. Crain then taught at the University of Wisconsin and Marquette University, and he received outstanding teaching awards from both institutions. His primary research interest is modern anti-Semitism. In 2014, Crain left the Center for Jewish Studies at the University Wisconsin, and accepted the directorship at the National Catholic of Holocaust Education at Seton Hill University.
